READY FOR LOVE

Here's some morning madness..........I LOVE this song...
powerful lyrics...

I am ready for love
Why are you hiding from me
I'd quickly give my freedom
To be held in your captivity

I am ready for love
All of the joy and the pain
And all the time that it takes
Just to stay in your good grace
Lately I've been thinking
Maybe you're not ready for me
Maybe you think I need to learn maturity
They say watch what you ask for
Cause you might receive
But if you ask me tomorrow
I'll say the same thing

I am ready for love
Would you please lend me your ear?
I promise I won't complain
I just need you to acknowledge I am here

If you give me half a chance
I'll prove this to you
I will be patient, kind, faithful and true
To a man who loves music
A man who loves art
Respects the spirit world
And thinks with his heart

I am ready for love
If you'll take me in your hands
I will learn what you teach
And do the best that I can

I am ready for love
Here with an offering of
My voice
My Eyes
My soul
My mind

Tell me what is enough
To prove I am ready for love

I am ready

  2. You think you're ready, but are you really? Love is patient, love is kind, love is not jealous, and it is never boastful or proud or rude. Love is not selfish. Love does not take into acount a wrong suffered (in other words it is forgiving). Love does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices in truth. love bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things, love never fails.... 1st Corinthians 13:1-8 (NLT and paraphrasings here and there)

in some of the most basic situations we are tested in the areas of love and we barely pass. So what happens when the one you allow all up in your face and your space, irks you to the core...how will you show love as it is defined in 1st Corinthians. Think you are ready for love, well then love that co-worker who always seems to have something to say about you. Love the kleptomaniac of a sister, when you see her wearing your brand new scarf. Love the kid who drank too much Hi-C and won't stop kicking your seat on the airplane. Show love and by showing love, show Christ. God is love!

P.S. This is not directed to Keeks- it is directed to the general public and me- 'cause Lord knows I need to work on this... ;-)
